    Quick spot light question...

Fair enough, can you get battery clamps that allow fitting extra cables to it?

    Quick spot light question...

Hmm, good point, maybe the next lot, should be 50w each! Would that be too much for the alternator? 400 ok?

    Quick spot light question...

Well I have a pair of 130w spots at the minute, soon to be another pair, then a 50 or 60w rear work light. Soon adds up!

    Quick spot light question...

Basically it'll have 580w going through it for the various different light sets up, so what type of cable would I need going to the battery?

    Quick spot light question...

Cheers guys, I know how to wire everything properly, done it a few times before, I'll just need beafier wire going to the battery for them and I just want to know what type of physical connector I'll need to attach an extra heavy duty live to the batt.

    Quick spot light question...

Also, what's the best way of attaching a beafy live for all the aux lights to the battery? by this I mean which physical connector should I use? Also, which connector should I use to take multiple cables off of this main live? Cheers.

    Quick spot light question...

I've already got a pair of spoptlights on my roof bar (ring road runner spot lights) and was wondering if it's worth using a pair of fog rather than spot beam pattern for the outer 2 brackets to illuminate the area a bit. Or should I just stick with the driving light pattern? Might sound daft...

Re: how to brake through ice?

I somehow managed to bend my track rod on 3" of ice on my disco, it was normally a mahousive puddle on a deep rutted track but it somehow managed to bend the bastard. My advice is don't bother!!! You'd be really surprised how hard and good and breaking landys ice is. So have a brew instead of...

    1995 200 tdi help needed

Yeah are you sure it's a 200tdi as they brought in the 300 series in '94. My '93 is one of the last 200s. Do the headlights have a black plastic surround or do the headlights meet with the actual body panels? The 300s also have slightly nicer interiors and have a slightly curvier dash board and...

    Any snow/ice driving tips

Right, basically it means you'll have a bit more grip in slippery **** as it locks the central diff, so if one wheel slips and looses grip, it'll only affect that axle as opposed to both. Only use it only really bad stuff where you think you may loose group, then take it off when the road gets...

    Any snow/ice driving tips

Well that'll teach you to drive like a turnip then!! lol. Basically for driving in the snow and ice, be sensible and do the opposite of what DomEllis said. I've occasionally stuck it in difflock on some ungritted south yorkshire side streets for the extra grip. I'm sure someone will tell me this...

    disco 1 rear floor-rottern

I see exactly what you mean, and I've always tried to do jobs properly and to the best of my ability, I'm definitely not a bodge a artist! I just find with the sills that instead of buying separate rock sliders or bashing the standard sills, that it would be both practical and economical to...

    disco 1 rear floor-rottern

Well from what I've looked at, the box section sills seems like the most practical and realistic option to do. If you type in box section sills in the search box you'll get a load of useful results. Like I said, it's cheaper, easier and much stronger, as they'll pretty much act as rock sliders...
