i agree, was worth asking the question though. i'm facing enough challenges as it is. i'm fitting a puma bulkhead to a 1991 defender and there are loads of brackets and captive fixings that are in all the wrong places lol

when i fitted the headlining to the front the captive nuts (rivnuts) that secure the sunvisors now just spin and are going to be a complete ball ache to remove so i was hoping it would be possible to change the bulkhead by just removing the wings and floor

is it possible to change the bulkhead without removing the roof and windsreen to save some time? if so are there any things that might trip me up?

I'm in the process of repairing a bulkhead for a friend and I need some of the white captive nuts that hold the bottom half of the dash to the bulkhead. I've had a look in the parts books but I can't see the wood for the trees.

i've got a nice set of whale head vise grips and an impact gun for undoing shocks. but i still love my stilsons

i don't see that as a bodge, i'd just consider it fixed :)

All colours apart from black available to click and collect from my local store so thought I'd pop down. Turns out no colours are on the shelf so I asked and pointed out they were available. They point blank refused to go and look and said if you don't like it try somewhere else.

sorry to hear that. i used to leave my work van unlocked but emtpy of any tools etc and STILL had the window smashed whilst trying to get at the rubber (if only they'd tried the door)

i know exactly what you're talking about. i bought a big roll of it from a local auto paint shop. bloody handy stuff to have on a defender because you can use it to deaden all manner of noises
