    you say its charging on tick over, what is the voltage when running on half throttle it should be approx 13.5 if the voltage is the same as tickover you have a problem with the alternator, i would also check the battery as 3 years depending on how its been used is about the limit on life span,

    runs from n/s wheel, along the top of rear axle to splitter valve or 2 way junction the runs along the chassis (off side) but if you look carefully you will see where the cleat holes are,

    take the tunneling off between the footwells you will see the filler/level plugs some have got square heads some have large hexagon heads.

    what you dont say is how longs the engine been standing. an engine wont seize like that un less its been cooked and also the bearings would have welded to gether or the gear box is still on and thats seized in gear, have you tried turning the crank or as the engine sat for years with no head on.

    compression joints from past little jobs ive done dont work very well due to the soft alloy, but there are plastic couplings which you just push the pipe into and they lock and seal,these work very well with diesel, oil. and compressed air and the best part of it you can get them from a plumbers...

    having looked at the pictures, the rust looks to be surface rust so wouldnt be a fail, the tyre might get you an advisory, the battery clamp is a fail but its at the discretion of the tester to say but in any case it should have gained you another advisory, i cant comment on the fuel cap only...

    lack of oil is not the cause of jumping out of gear i would look for another g/box or repair the 1 you have
