Have you tried changing the blade? As already said it doesn't go much beyond the 12 'o' clock position anyway.

It does yes, but you really notice it if you don't pump 'em up. Anyway, others may disagree, but if that's what the (LR) book says then I'm happy to comply.

I think it was the second thing I installed. The hardest part was cutting the panel for the socket mounting. Otherwise it was quite straightforward.

My all time best was 588.9 but generally I get 450 to 475. Despite the above my average tank has given 404 miles over the 39 fills I've recorded at fuelly.com
