like I said its very very mild - not one I would consider for my 3.9

standard cam is 0.39" lift so you don't really want to go beyond 0.43" or you'll need to make alterations to the valve springs the H180 cam mentioned above is a very mild cam if you are going for a Crower cam then I'd recommend the 50229, not sure where you got the 37776 part number from...

you would only need to use composite gaskets with the later 10 bolt heads on your 3.5 as the combustion chamber volume is different (36cc v 29cc).

    What camshaft for D2 V8?

only real difference is the cam retaining plate on serp engines - just get a groove machined into the cam to accept the plate

so they suggest using the cam for the low comp 3.5 when using it in a 4x4. I'd be more inclinded to run the high comp cam but you'll be strangling yourself further up the rev range if you stick to the 3.5 timing. peak power on the 4.4 was 4250rpm or somthing stupid. running a slightly...

    What camshaft for D2 V8?

depends on the ECU GEMS - same AFM and it adapts very well BOSCH - can be fine without adaption but you can ge the ECU changed to NAS spec 4.6 using autologic I think or a trip to the dealer

yeah 10.5:1 - its probably the same cam as the 9.35:1 comp engines so a 3.9 would be fine

The V8 Owners Forum - :: Index like I said the 3.9 cam is the same as the 3.5 carb but advanced a couple of degrees. as you have changed comp ratio and are running more displacement than a 3.5 you can run a wilder cam and not have such an effect lower down the rev range. you could run a...

what is an FM version? and how does that compare to the other cams in terms of duration etc the Early carb cams are the same timing as a 3.9 cam but advanced 2 degrees. The EFi cam is different. It might be worth having a post on the v8forum
