I was referring to compression, you can get some very powerful electric air compressors these days with developments in motor technology.

I would expect these days for something as small as a land rover you could use an air tank and an electric compressor. You can get some very good electric hydraulic setups now, don't see why this wouldn't be the same. the real question still remains why!

They are indeed JCB brake pads so are nice and easy to get replacements for. I was probably going to go with a diy trial and error approach by just cutting around with brake pad out of some some stainless i have and adding additional ones until I get to a thickness that works.

Has this been verified? In a similar vane to the above, do you know you actually had 190, or have you just installed a map that claims to give you 190? From the sounds of things you are not down on or losing power, you have just not gained the power you were expecting which is very different.

I am still struggling with mine! To get it to hold when at 6 clicks the cable is still under tension when calliper is fully released (have new brake pads fitted). This results in the cable stretching regularly and needing readjusting until you reach the end of the adjustment and need a new cable.
