like JP says yes it can be done and its quite an easy job, i fitted a 200 wing to my 300 and it didnt take a lot to get the headlight bracket to fit.
tbh the plastic wrap around under the headlight on a 300 are pretty flimsy and break pretty easily, bargain replacements can be found but seem...
possibly more to do with the gearing than the actual engine output.
have had both 300 and 200tdis and dont have a problem with either although I do know some who say 200 is a lot stronger engine.
