Got it home, tensioner bearing failed, luckily a box load of spares came with it when I bought it and I have a tensioner, just need to get a belt tomorrow and hope it hasn't cooked itself!!!!

Only 5 miles from home, driving it but keep stopping to let it cool down every couple of miles By the time RAC turn up in a van to tell me belt is snapped and wait another 3 hrs for recovery , I'll be home and stripping it down!

Short I think , no AC , just found what I think caused it to snap - siezed tensioner so a belt alone won't help me now :( Pants

Anyone nr Herftord got a drive belt for a 300 tdi?? Broken down with a snapped belt Aaaarrggggghhhh!!;):mad:

The donut I think was hitting a a big rock in a bog I was stuck in. Worn the outside edge ! The wife has the bug now ! Wants a winch and snorkel next! Lol

Have to try Roundhill soon, whaddon was ok but destroyed prop donut and guy who pulled me out of muddy pit of eternal stench kept snatching and knackered my new 8 ton strop and shackle :(
