    P38A Misfires and Diagnostics?

Thanks for the suggestions. The garage has assured me that they have checked all of the obvious, although I'm starting to wonder. It's very hard to speak to the owner as he is rarely available and has yet to return a call. Nobody else there seems to know anything about it or is unwilling to...

    P38A Misfires and Diagnostics?

Hi All, Apologies in advance for the waffly post... My 4.6 HSE developed a heavy misfire quite a long time ago following some work to recommission it following an extended period of non use. Basically they put a 2nd hand pair of cats on and replaced the O2 sensors (amongst other things, but I...

L322 Buyers guides and where to buy?

Can you link to it? I've had a poke around there and not come across one. I find myself in the same position currently. My P38 appears to have disappeared (been at the garage for 2 months now having been off the road for the past year with various problems), so I'm seriously thinking about...

P38A It's come back to haunt me

I'd second this. It's well worth a read. I can send you a link to it if you can't find it (not sure what the rules are for directly posting links to other forums). .

    P38A Nanocom evo prices

Just thinking for monitoring live data it would be better to have it fixed somewhere sensible than flying around on the passenger seat / dash top / floor. I'm still trying to work out what's causing my heavy intermittent misfire so this seems the best way. No more distracting than a satnav surely?

I too might be interested in a GEMS version. Been thinking about it for a while so this might be a good opportunity. I was looking at accessories too such as the screen mount and extended cables, although I guess these could be purchased separately.

    P38A BeCM repairs

I'd second that. A very knowledgeable and helpful guy and if you go and see him in person - incredibly personable too. He certainly sorted my BECM out for me. Not that this helps you now, but if you need a replacement then Rick might be worth talking to.

    P38A Intermittent fuel starvation?

Lpg appeared to run fine, but unfortunately it blows all the coolant out so can't be used at the moment. The coming and going nature of the problem did make me think blockage which is why I changed the filter, but that only improved the situation. It's still there. Any other likely choke points...

    P38A Intermittent fuel starvation?

I never kept much petrol in it as I always ran it on lpg. Pretty sure what was in there has been flushed through by now. What came out when I changed the filter looked clear and golden and smelled ok.

    P38A Intermittent fuel starvation?

I've not put much fuel in it. If I'm going to have to drop the tank then I probably don't want to fill it up, especially considering how little use it's getting. It's done about 40 miles in the last year. Hmm. I was thinking that perhaps it might be crud in the fuel system, but not sure where...

    P38A Intermittent fuel starvation?

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't considered the maf. I think it isn't used when running on lpg so it's a possibility, although why would the new filter have improved things? The lamdas were replaced with new when the cats were replaced as apparently the connectors were different despite...

    P38A Intermittent fuel starvation?

Hi all, Apologies for the long rambling post, but this is a difficult problem to describe! As some of you may know, my P38 has been off the road for a while. In attempting to put it back on the road I've had to battle becm problems and other little nasties, none of which were present when I...

    Funny mirror issues!

Sounds like your replacement is duff. I keep hoping someone will produce an article on how to fix these, but I'm beginning to suspect that it's more hassle than they're worth. I think the problem is related to the microswitches used for positioning the motors getting worn. My passenger mirror...
