    I found this out the other day when I started to rewire my series 3, although my cold start bulb wasn't wired in at all and one of the previous owners had also removed the balast resistor completely. One question though is you have the glow plug feed going to number 2 plug I have the feed on...

    :hijacked:As you can see from the photo's a previous owner liked his blue wire and crimps. May be a bit of a stupid question but would you just follow the original wiring diagram and just substitute the wire colours for what you can get making sure you can cross reference with the wiring diagram...

    If they are parallel wired as dirtyrhino says they are quite easy to do. Did mine the other day as one of the previous owners idea of wiring was terrible and as stated they need a separate feed, switch and relay as the current draw is considerably higher than standard. I used a new series3...
