    sounds like your full of air ,as it will raise to the top when settled so gives you brakes first thing in the day try bleeding first and if you have any leeks they should present themselves if no good then start stripping and replacing !!!!

    yes mate put a full kit in there about 60 quid so worth doing !!! also for a few pence spigot bush mate

    take all gearbox out inspect and renew parts !!! but upto you as it as stripped for a reason so while your messing about you could have lot out and fixed also you can fit new clutch at the same time so you know everthing works right !!!!

    could be a problem as the older engine is not as good as a tdi 200/300 gutless really but not a bad engine though 200tdi in my opinion is the best landy engine !!! i would check everything i said and you wont go far wrong mate

    you will have to put link on ? 2k will get you a runner though you will have to graft to do some work !!! also check all the dear bits a magnet is good for this for bodged filler fibre glass ( bulk head corners) check bulkhead,chassis,rear cross member,engine and box ,t/box front and rear...

    check lift pump for the diesel might be as simple as that !!! also put new diesel in it !!! give it a good check before you start it up as its being sat a while good luck

    but better to check everything as we are really trying to cure the problem blind so dont really know the history of whats being done and yes your right mate

    are you sure timing is correct even 1or2 cogs out will cause no compression as valves could be open also ( fuel could be out so going to 1 instead of 2 )example !!! i would double check this first check you have done timing right way around aswell ie cylinder is on compression stroke ...
