if it opens / tilts as it should Mike, then it will require setting, as this & the windows have an anti-trap facility in the motor. normally if you do a cycle from fully open to fully closed & continue to hold the switch down for 10 seconds i believe?, this will then "set" the anti-trap sensor...

I can back that up.. I've had my bonnet open with the lance in there blasting all the gubbins away after a moderate day off the beaten track, I've left my engine running though whilst she's having a nice shower
