Engine is running ok, so I presume it hasn't dropped in??? I didn't disturb it, so presume it may have been like it for a while.... How can I remove it?

While doing the MAF sensor I noticed one of the glowplug leads was just hanging there, on further inspection it looks as if the glowplug has snapped off at the base! I can not see enough sticking out of the hole to remove it..... Any advice/suggestions? A google search showed that it's not...

How do the exhaust gasses get into the EGR if the vacuum pipe is disconnected and the spring holds the valve closed? Agree on valve blocking pipe, but as I said it's not a F1 car......

Seeking a bit of advice, is there any real advantage to spending £50 on a decent EGR bypass kit for my TD4 or just take the vacuum pipe off and block it with a small bolt? (And I presume fit short length of blocked pipe to vacuum inlet on EGR to keep crud out.) I appreciate there will be less...

Does sound similar to problems we are having, and I have infact removed the manifold and cleaned it twice to try and get rid of some of the gunk - in doing so I may have fouled up the pressure sensor further! I haven't taken the inlet manifold sensor out before so am unaware what it looks like...

Hi Did you discover the source of the problem in the end? and what symptoms were you getting? We are having rough running problems and have just done the RoverRon/Synergy 2 swap and I'm not convinced it's any better....

Has anyone noticed how much crud they had in the top of the engine block ports? Mine was really shocking :( Any way to clean them? (I was too afraid of getting crap into the engine although did take a screwdriver and scrape as much as I could off....)
