    Vibration when driving

I had a similar problem and in my case it turned out to be VCU bearings, I removed the propshaft and the vibration was gone, brought a recon VCU and new bearings, refitted prop and now good as new

There was a thread started by one of the admins about new rules relating to posts being removed if there was swearing or 'inappropriate' images being posted, and if necessary offending members may be banned. Another admin posted saying he knew nothing about these new rules and seemed surprised...

    Freelander 1 2WD to 4WD advice

Don't forget there's no drain plug on the rear diff-it's either got to be siphoned out or remove the plate on the rear, you'll need some instant gasket to re seal on refitting.

    Newbie needing assistance !!! TD4 !!!

Probably best to trailer it home if you can but it does sound fuel pump related, do a search on here for the Freelander fuel pump-there are low and high pressure pumps for Freelander but they're a bit beyond my current technical knowledge (near non existent! Lol)

    Rear brake problem

Hi guys, recently I had my mechanic clean up the rear brake shoes and drums and fit new hand brake cables, what I'm finding now is that quite often after the car has been parked for a few hours when I release the hand brake to pull away the rear brakes are binding and I have to use reverse then...

can I leave IRD in place and remove g.box on td4?

Presumably it would be a good opportunity to drain out the old and refill with fresh fluid in the IRD.

Probably a long shot but does the L series have one of those fuel cut-off buttons under the bonnet that may need to be pressed?, just a thought incase it had tripped out.

4 Wheel Drive problem on 2003 Freelander

Best bet is to remove the rear prop, simple enough job, if you can still drive the car then you still have front wheel drive!
