    Dynachip Remap

I've been in a remapped D2 TD5 - impressive stuff to say the least!

How easy is it to change Fuel Pump?

+1 on the siemens VDO pump too. I've fitted a cheapy one (£60 ish IIRC) and it is noisy. Then again it does work, and if it ever goes quiet then I'll know the pump has failed :D

How easy is it to change Fuel Pump?

Just take the new seal off the pump & fit it to the tank FIRST. Then it's relatively easy to push down on the pump whilst you engage the clamping ring ;)

    Decided to keep the D2

If the turbo hoses aren't new then possibly get some silicone replacement ones. Get rid of the EGR vavle whilst you're at it & fit a K&N (if only so you don't have to replace it after each service).

How easy is it to change Fuel Pump?

Or... ask me how you do that without having overly strong hands ;) :p after I'd struggled for over an hour, then rang a knowledgeable mate for advice :censored:

Took plug out from injector harness

The plug to the injector harness has holes in it. The injector harness itself has the pins ;)

See my first Discovery sport today..

...so is the full fat Disco 4 still living on or has the disco name been downgraded?

    Why aren't Defenders 4x4?!

....and that is why the system works. However, once that traction is lost, then of course you're knacked and need help via lockers and/or TC. On my laning trips I've been amazed at what the disco can driver over BEFORE the TC even thinks about kicking in; terrain or slopes which would have...

    Why aren't Defenders 4x4?!

...and that's why they made the Discovery 2 :p TC FTW!

Discovery 2 developed a cunning sound from the rear when pulling of ??

I concur with the Watts linkage bushes theory. :)

Tilberthwaite Appeal - GLASS - National Trust

Depending upon when the works will be carried out, then I'd volunteer - weekends only. Can only say yes or no, can't I? To clarify - if the appeal gets 4 grand then the work will get carried out regardless of volunteer numbers? Not, oh we've got £4000 but there's no one to actually do the job...

Advice please! Disco TD5 hub bearing shagged on hols

Relatively simple job as James says, but the caliper has to come off first, to get the disc off - 12 sided socket needed (15mm or 17mm not sure).

    MOT time

I've just replaced the drag link on mine due to play at the steering box end. My MOTs in June but it would be a fail anyway. Bear in mind I've done a bit of green laning in the Dales and the stock link has served me well. Unless the rest of the Disco is heavy duty then personally I don't see a...

    Air filter

Why not? Just chuck the K&N replacement element in the airbox and you're good to go (I've got one in my D2 TD5).HOWEVER.... there is a school of thought which reckons the filter oil on the K&N gets sucked onto the MAF sensor and buggers it up, not sure about that, unless the filter is dripping...

If you're talking about the Land Rover's ecu which the red plug goes into then yes of course you'll need that connected ;)

swapping my land rover swapping for this

If that a substitute for a small dick, then I'd like to see the woman who could take it! ;) I quite like that concept - just need to be in camouflage, with a minigun mounted on top :)

Discovery 2 electrical problems ... NEWBIE

My D2 doesn't have heated seats, so no idea :( Electric windows - possibly check the plugs in the back of the switches & check the appropriate fuses. The window switches are all grouped in the centre console near the handbrake, correct? If so, the prise off the fascia plate & undo 3 or 4 ...
