    there should be a round plate with 3 bolts on the bottom of the gearbox next to the bellhousing,thats where i secured the torque convertor on mine

    try checking the vcu in the transfer box,numerous people have replaced allsorts including myself to no avail,after checking the viscous coupling unit and found it faulty,i fitted a new one along with a complete new set of u/js i now get no vibration or steering problems at all

    i tend to use them for the little niggle bits,bulbs clips and other tiny awkward bits,otherwise i use island 4x4 for the bigger bits;)

    you can just replace the bulbs,if you can i would replace the whole lot,as sods law you will replace one only for another one to go a few days later

    unfortunatly not and the old ones tend to break when you remove them.

    nice one john,i was tiling the neighbours bathroom and toilet floor at the weekend,anything for a few quid. sorry for hijacking the thread.i would order the air springs and clips from the formentioned (island 4x4) free P+P if ordered from there website

    it shouldn,t be loose,i think they are sort of soldered in,i would get some exhaust putty give it a good clean around and try and seal it up,or get a good decent used cover.

    like gav said get the hax shaped socket i bought 2 draper ones a standard size and a deep one make sure you get half inch drive,also a decent 8 inch extension bar and get a breaker bar a 2ft one will do,like gav said the serated sockets are crap for jobs like that;)

    i got the gen 2 on mine,but there was only £5 difference between the original dunlop or the gen 2,the price has gone up on the arnott range due to the pound being nearly worthless;) if it were me get the dunlop and keep the £50 you will need it for something else

    if you go to the stealer they will sort you out a key but it will be no.3 as 1+2 is issued with the vehicle at the time of purchase,the last quote i got was £130 inc vat for the key and £40 to programme it,as i had a busted key,but has luck had it my sister in law is a wizard with circuit boards...

    a new steering box has cured mine,the old one i removed,and i tried to turn the drop arm by hand and it wouldn,t move,the new one turned freely no problem,so something inside must have gone on the old one,which has contributed to the vibration

    are you sure the battery is holding it,s charge ok,ive had one similar to that on my pajero years ago,it was ok for day to day use but leave it a few days and it was flat as a fart.

    i would mask of an area bigger than the repair section,sand and remove all the corosion if it needs filler then lightly fill,and sand level with 1000 grit wet and dry,apply an acid etch primer,colour match with base coat and then laquer,it,s a bit harder for me to explain than it is just to just...

    transfer box change

    i didn,t remove the transfer box i just removed the front cover that holds the vcu,but i still had to remove the crossmember,with a big hammer and reinstall it with a big hammer at 11.00 at night,it went down well with the neighbours
