replacing static seats with suspension seats!

Ahhhh I see! Again - I'd not thought of that! lol As for the passenger if they're over 18 then I guess it is their responsibility to assess for risks when getting into a vehicle? Driver isn't responsible for ensuring adult passenger has seatbelt on. Again; I'm just speculating and...

replacing static seats with suspension seats!

Good point! Hadn't thought about that... It's not gonna be an issue with the blinding acceleration of the landy... But could it be a problem from a legal point of view? Not sure on my car seat standards... Lol  And comfort I guess? I find I don't use mine so not and issue for me. :D

Help! I don't want to freeze!

As title... :P keep popping fuses in my heater fan - 1989 lr90 - I'm guessing it's shorting out somewhere... Is there anywhere that these are prone to corroding/ damage, that I can check first? Or have I just gotta jump in there with my multimeter and torch? :P Cheers! Plank.

I guess you're not going to get much trouble with rubbing etc on cables in chassis with all the rubber grommets etc. But just because it's not designed for automotive use doesn't mean that it would necessarilay be inadequate for the job... ;)

New Chassis wiring loom, on top or inside ?

How'd it go? Go it on the outside now? ;) What did you end up using to secure it to the chassis? :D

Amateur wiring by previous owners is just the worst! I don't envy you! :p And as for loom - if it where me, I'd take pictures of everything before I unplug it, and make note of the order. But depending on the condition of the loom pulled out, it might be worth getting a new one... I'd even...

Defender 90 rear axle totally straight or slightly bent

F**king hell! I just looked at the picture, I'd say that's pretty bent! :O Have you driven it like that? Did you feel it pulling to one side or skipping or anything?

Defender 90 rear axle totally straight or slightly bent

Should be straight, that's for sure! Does it scrub the tyres? Lay something that you know is straight up against the wheels and measure from that to the axle and you should be able to get a good idea from that. :)

    The Girlfriends 90..

I imagine most of them will just have a standard dash fitted with all the warning lights, with some not wired up. I'm 90% sure mine has a 24v light on the dash - I'd look, but it's ****ing it down! Tomorrow when I have to use it for work I'll get back to you. :)

replacing static seats with suspension seats!

Lots to choose from on here... Fork Lift Truck Seats | Fork Lift Parts | Fork Lift Trucks :: L S Forklifts Ltd I'm guessing a lot of these will have adjustable frames underneath already - Means you'd just have to drill some holes in your seat box to match the new seat! :D Hope this helps! :)

As for height wise - forklift seat would be your best bet! Just had a think about it, and it's definitely the same sort of size as a normal seat, perhaps an advantage over tractor seats. I'll see if I can find a link to the forklift I'm talking about. :P

replacing static seats with suspension seats!

You'll have to make something up, I've never seen anything like it put in a landy! I'm a young'n but get lower back problems occationally; not had my landy aggravate it since I've put a bucket seat in it. Before I had the bucket seat I had a very worn seat, which I then refurbished, which added...

Just found a bunch of unexpected work on the motor, need to go and quietly sip a beer

Looks great! I want to say it looks like its rough, in the sense that the paint has a texture to it, not that it's a bad job! Is it? Or am I seeing things? As I can see getting it clean being a right pain if it is! :p:p

New Chassis wiring loom, on top or inside ?

My vote is outside - but secured out of the way, and preferably some sort of plastic coated metal clip of something. As you can get to it on the outside, and you could also then pours some old engine oil in the chassis, and weld it up! - Unless its galv, then I wouldn't bother. :)
