4dB is a big difference even though it doesn't look much on paper - Sound levels double every 3dB!

Looks like a freestyle wheel. You'll need spacers to fit them on a defender.

My mate cam round to change the oil on his BMW 3 series once - he was using some really expensive castrol oil that met the BMW spec..... shame he didn't put the sump plug in before emptying a full 4 litre bottle into it! :eek:

It caused a problem of a permanent left hand indicator signal and got worse to eventually immobilise the car. It also used to unlock itself during the night!

A 2" lift doesn't lift the axle higher off the floor, it lifts the chassis off the axles so I don't see why a normal jack would be a problem unless you have massive tyres?

After purchasing a 90 and also another car as a daily driver, I need to reduce my fleet, so this needs to go. It's a 1998 S reg TD5, 178k miles (replacement engine has been fitted in the past) Chassis is spot on, nice and solid and hasn't been welded. Its been painted with hammerite in the past...

Fuel Pressure Regulator. It's a fairly common problem for them to leak. Replacement is the cure. Preferably with a genuine part.

Definitely remove the half shafts if you want to drive it. I had a rear diff let go in my D1 so I took the rear prop out and drove it in diff lock. Afew days later afew bits of broken diff lodged themselves between the pinion and crownwheel and locked up the rear wheels!!

It would be easy enough to modify. Just shorten the supports and maybe alter the angle at the top of the drop plate. Just tried the wheel nuts and they're too big for the wheels so it looks like I'm towing on 35s tomorrow!

Managed to get sorted at Emmotts. Tried my mates RRC tow bar which I'm told is the same as a 300 disco and it didn't fit. The distance between the mounts on the chassis and the drop plate mounting holes is shorter on the td5.
