Dremel - worth it, which one?

Milwaukee do a cordless rotary tool so you could use your batteries and buy the tool body only. I've got one on my list to get along with the 3/8 impact ratchet :)

    nice 3.9 v8i xs

I had the same car and took it to a pay and play. Half way round the course, a large slab flicked up from the front wheels and pushed one of the tanks up which caused the valve on top of the tank to crack. Had to wait for the gas tank to drain before carrying on using petrol. I think that was...

    How amazing are rotary engines.

Interesting concept but can't see it taking off personally. There's still the issue of the combustion chamber moving across the ports/head in a similar way to a rotary so I doubt they'll get the longevity out of it.

    How amazing are rotary engines.

Biggest problem with the rx8 is the previous owners. They became a mainstream car bought by mainstream people who don't get anything engineering related. They end up running low on oil, thrashed from cold and using the wrong oil grade which is all bad news for a rotary. Rotaries themselves are...

    LT77 snags in 4th gear

It's spent most of the time in my mates lockup as I've been converting it to a hard top and repairing the bulkhead. Passenger side is now done but then we had another baby which delayed progress so I still need to do the drivers side. Runs and drives great though! That engine is a cracker!

    LT77 snags in 4th gear

My gearbox seems to snag when coming out of 4th gear. I did a search and the pivot bush seemed to be a common problem. I've replaced that as it was pretty worn and It's made the selection slightly better but it still seems to stick in 4th gear, the only way to get it out seems to be to give...

I might be able to help you out with that - I removed a td5 r380 due to knackered synchros. I don't need it, so if it's any good to you let me know!

    Another rebuild, Td5 90

Use a hex head bolt with two nuts locked together on the thread - the head of the bolt becomes the Allen key and the nuts mean you can turn it with a spanner. Great work by the way. Seeing your progress regularly spurs me on to crack on with mine :)
