If it will run on MAF cleaner. or eazistart type stuff, then I don't think it can be electrics other than those that run the fuel supply/injection system and timing. But that does involve battery poswer while cranking. I say again, get it on a good batt, and also get data regarding cranking...

Could simply be a batt with enough power to turn it over but not enough to fire the injectors. did it run until you disconnected the jump leads? or did it stall out while still connected? Have you stuck a diagnostic on it? Welcome to the asylum by the way!!

in the past I have sprayed the inside of the car with flyspray just before shutting it up. As you say, windows up etc. Best of luck!

Also check with a long straight edge that all pulleys are in alignment.
