I'd say the the snapped studs were caused by the manifold warping. Get it checked at a good engineering shop. Should be about £40 to £50 to have it skimmed.

Also, I put a couple of micro fibre clothes under the bonnet corners for the bonnet to rest on whilst I undid the hinge bolts.

Super easy !!. I just drew around the hinges with a pencil before I removed it. The bonnet is aluminium and surprisingly light.

Again, if your going so hard at it that you smash your compressor, you'll probably be bending cills and punching holes in your gearbox and fuel tank.

In my opinion, ( and many others ), the SINGLE BIGGEST thing to look for on the D2 now is rear end chassis rot !. Never mind the age or spec, if the chassis bad its all over. ( or upwards of 3k for a replacement galved one ).

I've never heard of an air bags being holed whilst off roading, your more likely to damage the fuel filter and housing. Have a sniff around the discovery2.co.uk website. There's lits of info on there about the sls system and how to keep it tip top.

Probably loose bolts that hold the wiper motor to the wiper assembly. Causes a " clunk " every time the wiper changes direction. Mine was wiper bliss after I tightened them up.

All D2 transfer boxes are the same. ( diff lock or non diff lock ).There was a few differences on the very last ones, but none that would affect its fitment to your car.

They are sods to bleed !. You got to keep trying till you get a " better pedal ".

Doesn't sound quite right to me !!. The cap on the coolant reservoir releases pressure above 1.4bar. The TD5,s cooling system runs well below this pressure. If your cap is relieving pressure, then I'd say thst tge coolant system is running at to high a pressure. I would place a clear plastic...

Mine does it !. Its like a " tick, tock " noise. Mine is quite fient, and seems to be doung it all the time. Its not been a problem in the last six years.

Its highly likely that you have a leak causing all the refridgerant to leak out. There is a pressure swith on top on the drier/reciver which senses this and dissables the system. ( why your clutch wont engage ). I,m not 100% sure, but I know that a seized fan can cause a fuse to blow, and...
