Those bolts are made from a copper alloy. You could try an imerial hex which is slightly bigger, failing that you could hammer in a torx bit. Did you do it with the engine cold ?.

I had a similar problem with my drivers door. After a lot of multi meter testing, it turned out to be a broken wire in the doors flexible rubber sleeve. Unfortunately, the lock mechanisms aren't cheap.

Again, that's not quite right. The drivers side is longer, but only by about 10mm. It has nothing to do with the fuel tank as that is mounted centrally at the rear. Cheers.

Sorry to disagree, but the springs are handed on all tge TD5 D2,s !. Offset engine position and torque put extra load on tge drivers side, hence thus spring is longer. The springs for the various suspension setups are coded with coloured paint marks. From memory, the 2003 onwards is...

Did you reset the injector clearances ?.

They only stay on if you restart the car with the cdl engaged.

If I go over a speed hump, when the rear drops off it and the suspension is compressed, I get an odd creaking sound. This is down to anti roll bar bushes.

As your car us a 99 it will have the cdl internals in the box. The point at which they stopped fitting the cdl box was around mid 2001.
