PU40 vs Sikaflex 291 vs Tiger Seal?

The Everbuild PU40 that Toolstation sell is a very versatile sealant/adhesive. It seems more resistant to movement that similar polymer products. Unfortunately, Toolstation only sell it in white, but at £3.90 a tube its a very cheap high performance sealant/adhesive. I know you've already done...

There was a major server meltdown and ALL information from September 2013 was lost. I imagine that your " membership " has been deleted. You may have to re-register.

    Good old land rovers

I think its fair to say that Urban Panzers D2 is probably one of the best examples in the world !!. I know thats a bold statement, but when you consider how its been maintained and all the top notch gear on it, and not mention the galvanised chassis.

    Misfire after going through 'flood'

I agree aswell. Its back to normal as the air filter dries out fairly quickly with all the air the engine needs getting sucked through it. Genuine filters are tolerant to moisture unlike cheaper paper ones. And as has been already said, dont go charging through standing water.

    Rear Parking Sensors

Buy a cheap set of ebay and fit them. Mine have been working fine for years !. I also reconfigured a proper D2 reversing sensor binnacle switch so I can turn them off when towing.

I know some farmers that have done it. Track width is an obvious give away as is the body overhang at the back.

    td5 cdl mod,, worth it?

Another good point Dave, as the diffs are can be weak on an offroad car.

    td5 cdl mod,, worth it?

In my opinion, if you are using the vehicle regularly in of road situations, then a functioning centre diff lock is invaluable. The TC only starts to work once a wheel/wheels has started to spin, and depending on terrain, a spinning wheel will then start to dig creating even more work for the...

    Deal or steal

Chassis rot is the biggest consideration when buying ANY age D2. So think about this !. A galvanised chassis £2000.00, additional parts needed when fitting it, £500.00 plus. ( add anither grand if youre not doing it yourseld ). Aside from all the other work done, I'd say its not bad at all. ( I...

Disco 2 Blown Out Radiator Top Hose

As hinted above. The cap should " blow off " at 1.4bar. If the cap is faulty excess pressure will not be released and find any weak points in the cooling system. I wonder if your underlying over pressurisation is HG related ?.

    Dreaded clutch slave won't bleed

Even with the nipple on the top you still need to get the front of the car as high as possible as the the cylinder faces down very slightly. And if it makes you feel better, when I was trying to bleed my clutch, it took half an hour of my brother pumpimg the pedal as I was shouting " up "...

    American GBR CDL Kit

The diff lock selector yoke moves on a shaft under spring tension when the selector spigot is turned. So you are not actually forcing the diffs to lock. If the diff teeth arnt lined up, the lock ring " waits " under the spring tension untill they are aligned and then the locking ring movs...

Water leaking from rear boot head rests

Yep !!. A very common cause of leaking. The rear door needs pulling in at the top by adjusting the top hinge.
