I have finally identified the source of my water leak in the cabin. The water is getting in via a split sunroof seal and working its way along the roof lining and down the inside of the drivers door into the footwell. What sort of cost would be involved to supply and refit new sunroof seal?

It could be: a boost leak damage compensation diaphragm split hoses at numerous locations weak actuator sticking actuator I'm sure there are some I've missed. Hence it's not a straight forward diagnosis.

Has anyone done away with the viscous fan on their 300TDi and not bothered fitting an electric fan? Just wondering how necessary the viscous unit is on the 300TDi as I'm sure I've read somewhere that they aren't really required unless the vehicle is used under heavy load i.e. towing etc.
