I've tried some stop leak stuff, basically it has an additive which swells the seals, therefore stopping the leak. It's a fix that will bite you further down the road when the seals completely deteriorate.

Update... I picked up the caravan last week, towed it down to Hertfordshire, towed great, even found myself doing 70mph at times. anyway I had a look at the rear shocks on the Disco and decided to get them changed, while they were being done the rear discs looked pretty shagged so I done them...

I live a few hours south of you :cool: I have owned a RR classic, and I presently own 3 Jeeps (2 Cherokees) The cherokees don't seem to break as often with niggly little faults, they are quite easy to work on yourself. and they look a lot better than the RR when they are lifted with big tyres...

thanks for your replies fellas, I will go with putting the heavy stuff in the back of the disco, nose weight 75kg. measured with a stick up the tow hitch onto bathroom scales right? and lod the other stuff evenly. Any tips for driving?
