If I Had left on the Pashley with some tools when you first asked I would be around Scotch Corner now. Would you recommend I should imagine carrying on on the A1? Or should I imagine the scenic route over the hills with the fantastic view just as you enter Jockland?

You can get "little grindy things" for drills, bit like dremel bits only bigger. See I can post the occasional constructive comment.
