How to fit Autobox oil cooler pipes Range Rover P38 Diesel BMW 1998

Can you not just replace the rubber parts by cutting the pipes and use some compression fittings? Or has the cooler itself failed?

    P38A Front Suspension - "wobbles"

+1. Just grind the old bolt off and bang it out. New ones in.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

MrGorsky's did that. Must have been a pinhole in the pipe to the spring.

    [P38] Exhaust gases in coolant

Heaters won't matter. The pipes to the matrix are permanently open with the air mix changed in the cabin as required.

    [P38] Exhaust gases in coolant

I filled and then sat squinting under the bonnet at the expansion tank. Hood the revs at 1800 rpm unless it starts splashing and jump out every so often to top it up

P38A Oil loss at the engine

It is back in your garage is it? Thought it was in mine. Good job I didn't offer it then.

    P38A Horn connector

Had a little look on Amazon. Seems most of the cheap ones only have 5 trumpets and miss off the last note? Some compressors have 6 outlets which makes me think you could Tee it into the biggest one and sort of get away with it Vixen from the States look good but big bucks, especially with the...

Small update: polarity doesn't seem to matter on the new horns. They're not that loud though.

    P38A The arrival of a P38

I've found Wych Bearings to be very helpful in finding o-rings if you give them the measurements and use. Brake fluid is a harsh fluid though. Possibly ring Wabco in Buckingham, UK, although you will need the measurements as they threw all their drawings away years ago.

    P38A Horn connector

Yes, it looks possible to get a hand in from underneath but not much room. The RAVE method is to remove the battery and then its tray!

    P38A The arrival of a P38

The modulator can be a total bar-steward to get all air out. I used an Ezibleed kit when I replaced mine and flushed about 3 litres of DOT 4 through before pushing another 2 litres through the lines themselves. Front lines are usually OK. As Brian says, rear lines are almost certainly shot if...
