I'm lucky it wasn't more serious to the engine. Got a spare pedal now, and lots of silicone to go around bits at the seatbox - I maybe will even extend the loom. Also waiting for the snorkle.

Well having left it sitting for nearly a week, I plugged in the ECU and othher elec plugs. stuck the air hoses back on. Nothing has been screwed tight. But when I turned the key it sprang into life and the throttle is working again. Cost we £5 for a new air filter. Nothing else has been replaced.

Thats me back so ready to pick up where I left off. I don't think my white throttle box unplugs, I'm sure thhe loom is hard wired into it and hardwired where it comes out. I will get a closer look and get some pics. Maybe I could cut it out all together??? Picking up a Nonocom to borrow tonight...

Hi Ratty Yep we noticed only 4 glows niot 5. So I took off the viscous fan so a could put a big socket on the engine and turned it over by hand It sounded all ok so I went for the key and it did start. It seemed pretty normal. Note Sealey diagnostic is not compatible. it's OBD11 :confused:

My series switch when cranking the engine over would cut power to the other bts including the stop solenoid, thus it wouldn't start at all. Cure was to fit another switch to turn on power to the fuel alone. (it's a 2.5na diesel) Not sure if this helps you petrol heads.
