Woo Hoo, I ;ve got it working... now i just want it to get dark to see what they're like... I had to link the LEDs up with the 2 purple cables.. it took some playing and some short circuiting... only 5 fuses blown... thanks to all of you.

gulp... eh? oh dear... there is nothing to distinguish the two cables coming from the LEDs... but i'll look tomorrow afternoon again... i don't want to hear that click again as the fuse blows (and the radio asks for a security code)

but one is the connector that leaves the light permanently on and the other is the connector that switches on only when the doors are open... am still confused. Ideally, I'd like to be able to switch it on and off. The boot "door open - light goes on- sensor" is bust in the boot.
