Piece o **** this is. 2 secs to whizz off with an impact driver. Shaft slid straight out Looks like the drive thingy has worn allowing the half shaft to slide out of the diff and chewed the diff end of the halfshaft in the process. Just hope the spkines in the diff aint mangled. Cheers guys...

I'm gonna have a grovel around in th puddles now it's stopped trying to snow :( Does the gasket go behind the cap? And scuse me fur sounding like a prune, but is the drive member in the dif?

Oh well, think I'm gonna get all the leaked fluid cleaned up and refill the reservoir. Just incase its been spraying up from the hose towards the pulley. I might be lucky...... bloody doubt it though!
