What is your tyre pressure like, 28 psi front and 36 psi back. Even if the fronts are slightly too hard my steering is twichy. Its spot on with these pressures.

My god are we still banging on about this subject.
Fact-I changed mine to coils.
Fact-The car is better and more reliable.
Fact-It is perfectly stable.
Fact-I would do it again.
So all in all I would say I,m perfectly happy and comftorable with mine on coils.

I just look for the best deal I can find on 10-40 semi, last change was with auto care oil at £12.99 for 4.5 litres, change it every 6K-job done. Ok deisel now is low sulpher so in theory the oil changes could be longer but it's not exactly the hardest job in the world so will stick to my...
I googled Range Rover Trek and found them but they were yellow with the 4.6 engine and built by Land Rover Special Vehicles group for the Trek competition in Vermont so can,t see why one would be RHD and 4.0, Anyway someone might come up with more info.

There should be a plug that goes into your Becm and the lower/hieghten switch just gets unplugged. Mine has been on coils for over a year and covered 15K with no trouble, handles fine, would I change back to something I could not trust (EAS) not a chance. But if you suspect its been bodged, get...
If god wanted a 4 x 4 it would be a Landcruiser 80 series, my opinion anyway and you still see them charging over the Desert, they were one built motor.

Looks cool to me, yellow coils are they ironman or dare i say it britpart, better be carefull though as you may start to like that P38 you have on coils. Hope it gives you a lot of fun.

Not just the P38 debate, know a guy who replaced his hydraulic set up on his landcruiser and gets all types of greif on the forum and his motor is exceptional as he has spend thousands on it, as he said the only thing that can go wrong with a coil spring is if it breaks, with other types of set...
The only downside I can see is the car sits a bit higher, it is perfectly stable and predictable on the road and as for MOT's there is not a problem as long as it's done right, I "E" mailed VOSA about the new rules as speculation on here was rife and they said there was not a problem, same as...
Best place for a coil conversion is on a P38, no compressor, air bags, pipes, sensors, electronics, valves= a lot less to worry about going wrong, fantastic.

Cheers will try that with the chamfer, they were put in with copaslip but will see if its all washed away, did try to get anti-squeal shims but can't seam to find any up here, used to get them before though they were thin self adhesive rubber strips. Good to see someone agrees with me some of...
Would not get mintex pads as mine squeal although they brake good so will end up changing them but the Bearmach discs seam good and I have no complaints about them although they are not grooved, OE are not drilled and grooved and has been said if the manufacturer thought that they were needed or...
Arron, did the MAF sensor not come in on the 97 model as I'm sure that is what was wrong with my Omega and it was a 97 although it was about 8-9 years ago so could be mistaken but it still rings a bell with me, i know on the Omega that the 96 model year did not have a MAF sensor so when did it...
Don't know without seeing it but it seems to have had all the major stuff covered like the crappy-sorry eas done, the fusebox and remote arial, as for the rest if it just needs a service and a set of discs/pads thats easy stuff, if it were me I would take it out for an hour and really drive it...
Had a similar problem years ago on an omega (same engine) and if memory serves me I'm sure it was the mass airflow meter, cost a bloody fortune back then.

I had this fault, I also could pick up no signal from my diagnostic plug so traced the wireing through and found a broken brown wire going into a white plug behind the offside kick panel in the drivers footwell, I repaired the wire and also cleaned up the plug also charged the battery which tbh...
Pajero totaly different, main problem being the auto box can't decide which gear to be in half the time and if it was a 2.5 totaly guttless although they are much better electrically & simple to work on. ( fully paid up member of the Pajero cracked head club). I tow a 23 foot boat with my Rangie...
Ha ha and usually me, but in a good mood as the old girl went through her mot with no problems, regular maintenance is the number one with these baby's. EAS or not.
