Land Rover never changed the console label between vehicles that do or dont have diff lock. As alreayd stated, if it does not have "Diff lock" embosed on the top of the transfer lever knob, then you dont have one, so ignore the label.

I think you need to go have a closer look at your TD5, there is no brake or tail lights in the bumper on a D2. On a D1, if you have tail lights in the bumper, then the brake lights are up top. There is no "age" to this scenario, it's as simple as some do and some dont have the extra upper...

Yet another case of a dealer lying to a customer, the body control unit can have 4 keys programmed to it, so as long as they know which key you still have and which slot it is in (they can find that by simply opening up the fob and checking the code) then they can simply re-program the new key...

I would suggest there is nothing wrong with your car. Although its a 5 cylinder, it only has 4 glow plugs, so that cylinder needs to "warm up" first to run right, thats why when its very cold its a little lumpy but clears with a bit of throttle. Perfectly normal TD5 behaviour imo.

The cooler pipes where the hoses connect are very "weak", and as you have found out, it often requires quite a bit of force to connect the push fit pipes. If your to agressive with it, its possible the cooler has a split in it, or maybe you have not got the pipe fully on. Did you here it...
