Gerhard, I do know of someone else who had this problem and it was rectified by using Autologic as that has the ability to energise the relay etc.

How old is the vehicle Battery ? Have the battery and charging system checked.

the "kit" removes the valve itself and makes the air intake into the manifold a little less disturbed, probably not that noticable, but if your egr is blanked why not remove it from the engine bay altogether as it serves no purpose and gives a little more room in the engine bay.

What they replaced was the shuttle valve switches, but unfortunately it often only "temp" fixes the fault, sometimes not at all.

That "cannister" is a vital part of the system, both intake and exhaust air go through it :rolleyes:

Thats not normal, and only ever happens on a Disco 2 when a sensor has been disconnected or is faulty. So it points to 1 of the 4 ABS wheel sensors. With out diagnostics it will be difficult to tell, however if you have a multimeter, disconnect each sensor in turn at the wheel arch plug and...

no pump in the transfer box........ And I would tend to agree with the post ref the whine is more likely to be a diff worn out.

It should be locked in place with the locking tab washer.... Is that not fitted ?

Its a bit of a myth tbh, you can bleed it no probs by rocking the car "violently" whilst the engine is running, it soon self bleeds. Replacing the fliter actually looses hardly any fluid anyway.

What ever you do, buy 5.............otherwise what happens if you damage one when playing ??? I find it very surprising how many landys I see either lifted or not with big MT's fitted, yet still have the standard spare on the rear door ????........ Also, I would "carefully" consider what...

Bear in mind the repair pipes come in 2 halves to allow fitment as the original 1 piece ones were fitted to the chassis before the body went on. Its frustrating that they eventually uses threaded unions on the repair pipes, should have done that from day one instead of that stupid way they...

The simple facts are, your lift is still using factory springs (with spacers), which are not up to the job of coping with a front mounted winch, and thats even when they are new, let alone a few years or more old. Your best bet would be to buy front and rear "lift" springs and bin the spacers...

The most common cause imo is "shuttle valve switches"........the sensors "themselves" are pretty robust, any fault pointing to a sensor can often be a wheel bearing / hub assy worn.

Having to have the ignition on is a bit daft imo, land rover messed up on that. Should be "live" all the time imo. One of the reasons I have added additional sockets.

The isolation switch in the center console simply completes the earth path, so just bridge the connections. The switch "can" be carefully prised out from the center console.

Thats because it is the same noise generated by the ABS unit, which does the traction control as well. Its a self check of the shuttle valves on start up, perfectly normal and they all do it.

The thing I found with cheap filters, in particular the fuel filters is they rust VERY quickly in the winter months and look awful., whether they filter any worse or better.....who knows but when you see that, it does make you "wonder" on the whole overall quality.
