Well had the Disco a week and already got the modding bug ;D Went to Woodlands last weekend and totally loved it so thought it best i start getting prepared for next month ;) First two mods are 2 " lift and of course off road tyres 8-) Tyres were fitted yesterday by Des who at the same time...

Well they fit lol and thats without the 2 inch lift that we fitted shortly after !!!!!

Well land rover specialist says it is crud in the tank bloking fuel line or the injector pump, it fires up then struggles to keep going finally cutting out. The tank is being taken off and cleaned out tommorrow to see it that is it but at worse its the pump

Anyone got a cheap one for sale to fit a disco 300tdi, it seems mine has packed up !!! cheers tony

Well had the rac out to see the Disco so i could get it trilered to the garage and the man seemed to know alot about the early models, he said it looks like the turbo seals have gone as i have oil in my intercooler pipework etc Hopefully this is all that has gone wrong with it

Been topld to remove the sedimentor and replace it with afuel line as they rust up and go wrong,

Oh i see, but it is a 13 yr old motor so surely it has some sediment etc in it ??? If not what else could be wrong ? How do you clen the injectors??

Thats good news lol Would i be able to get my arm in the tank ??? To remove any loose material from it, and is there any mods you can do to stop it picking up crap from the tank. Gonna have to to that plus the fuel sedimenter,fuel filter and injectors long day lol

Does anyone know if there is a inspection hatch in the fuel tank ?? undere the boot floor maybe. I want to get in the tank and clean it out and the filter on the pick up, to see if this is the problem cheers tony

Well done the oils and fliuds all ok, it still runs lumpy so was thinking could it be injector/fueling problem ??

Yep just waiting for my mrs to get home to go fetch the oil etc, will top it up then get a replacement pipe for it. Hopefully that is the problem and not something more serious

You can get a complete wading kit for the Disco 300tdi off ebay for £30 delivered to your door, it was recommended to me by several members of our local club. Will be the one im fitting in a few weeks time

NIce looking motor dont see many in red !!! I will be getting the tyres changed before the lift as many have said they will be ok on road for the next few days till sat when all the mods get done !!!! Will give me more time to mod if i dont have to drive to tyre place and muck around there

Would i get away with putting these tyres on before i do the lift on sat ?? Just wondered as it is not so busy during the week for this sort of thing , just for road use only

Nice pic thats the sort of clearance im looking for too. Ill be fitting the 2 inch lift and tyres saterday . Should look nice too now

the new model defender has a shorter downpipe but longer centre section i think.
