Just going from my disco2, the tc used the abs system, if you got a fault on either you got 3 lights on the dash, assumed the system would be the same?:)

Normally a wheel sensor, or wheel bearing.

Just the transfer box, as you say makes the engine rev less on journeys, but loose acceleration.

The r380 lasted okay in my tuned 4.6 stage 4 v8 discovery 2 so a diesel isnt going to worry it too much.

You weld stainless like mild, if you use normal welding wire it just rusts

Try tweaking the pump for a start?i had a alisport conversion on a 300 disco a few years back and that flew, dont think the intercooler made much difference more the pump tweak. Td5 are not that much quicker!

Discoverys have a black sound proofing under the carpet, could try some of that stuff from a scrapper?

As you can see from my pic just put boost on mine, but yep they wont fit the front, its either fit a disco axle, but i have just renewed the brakes etc shave a bit out of the wheels and fit new bolts, or as i have decided, new 30mm spacers! I do have a disco axle for sale if you want to take...
