Thinking of buying a 110 Utility

Hi Terryt, How about one of these? Would make a great project...fit some forward facing rear seats, drop in a 300tdi and put in some side windows and you are good to go :) Look pretty cool too! Landrover Defender 110 Tithonus RHD, Hard Top, #62556 - MOD Sales, Military Vehicles & Used Ex MOD...

Probably the best engine ever !!

If it was good enough for the British Army then you can't get a better recommendation than that!! Spent many hours behind the wheel either on exercise or on Operational Tours. Hall of Fame+1

Defenders being marked for theft !!! Look..

You need a Clutch Claw, Disklok, Battery Isolation Switch and take the seat bases in doors at night!! A wheel clamp maybe useful if you don't use your Landy as a daily driver. Just my two peneth :)

    Battery isolation switch

Cheers for all your thoughts and opinions :) I think you are all right, in front of the battery box is the best place to put it.

    Battery isolation switch

I'm going to fit a BIS in my 110 but I'm undecided where the would be the best place to put it. I had a thought of fitting a centre lockable cubby and putting it in there. Any thoughts?!

    Door lock removal

Thanks mate..yes it is a bit brutal drilling them out but I started with a small drill bit and went up to a slightly larger one...just enough for the guts of the lock to drop out. Then I gently twisted it out with a screw driver. Thats one job done...many many more to do!! I read through...

I've replaced the door locks today...had to drill them out as I had no keys. The new locks...Part Number MTC6504...slotted straight in no problems. Easy when you know how!! So now I have 2 functioning door locks with keys!

    Door lock removal

Thanks mate. I seen the hole but couldn't see the little peg that I guess locks the barrel into the housing. When I move the barrel I can see moving through the little hole.
