got it out - it was jammed, so i used wd40 to free it up - put it back in & still nothing - going to test the switch in the morning then its ring round the scrap yards to try & find a 200 TDI - guess i will just have to hope the one i get from the scrappy isent broken too !!! made an extremely stupid school boy error tho - left the bloody ratchet on the bottom pully - when i first tried to start it the engine locked solid so i thought oh well head off then !! when i realised what id done i kicked meself - but the ratchet caught the steering pipe as it spun & ripped...

all done - the inner ones were captive - outer nuts & bolts Next question - anyone know how to take the headrests off ???? Got the cover off the bum bit - be nice to wash the back parts too !!

hi im trying to remove my front seats ( as they are sopping wet & mouldy ) is it just the 4 ten mm bolts or am i missing something ??? two of the bolts are just turning & not undoing - any ideas ??? god i wish i had bought one without sunroofs :mad:

you will need a 52 mm socket for the hub nuts - if you dont have one they are a fiver on ebay

youd think a bearing is a bearing yeah - depends how long you want them to last i guess i assume the timkins are made of proper metal & not recycled washing machines :D
