Is that 5mm above the H mark? Theres L....N...H...........Danger on the dip stick isn't there? I remember a post about this quite a while back, it was recomended that some oil should be removed so that it sits inbetween the N....H mark. Someone managed to suck the oil out through the dipstick...

Mine wern't too bad. New exhaust, oil seal on back axel, front head light rattling around. I must say that its running much better now than when I got it a year ago. You beeing an expert trewy, surely it'll be finished in time for tea... ;)

Yeh, I noticed that when I changed the clutch master cylinder, cap said DOT3. shop only had DOT4, so I used DOT4. Its still working ok...well, apart from its leaking again.

Sadly not Grunt, rear brake drum was contaminated by oil from a perished seal. It was such a small damp patch too, bearly noticable. Still, its back now. I have missed it.... Exhaust is shiney new, gas tight and rattle free. Magic!

Does it matter that he's topping up more than normal, whatever normal is, and how much is more than normal? is that bit important?

Land rovers like oil, if the lights coming on you need to sort it quick. How long is 'periods of time'?

Also consider the increased fuel consumption that using a land rover will add to your monthly fuel bill. 30mpg if its running ok, a lot less if you drive it like a ****. Its a bit of a shock if your used to running a more economical runaround car.

I had to patch up a portion of this when I put mi veg stuff in. I used fuel hose and jubelee clips. Seems to be working ok. Motor factors sell it.
