I'm with the AA and think you're covered after 24 hours...it's not much money at the end of the day to know that if the worst comes to the worst you and yours will be taken from one end of the country to the other if needed... Anyway, best of luck getting her sorted

It has to be the greatest vehicle ever built...if you had any other car which was noisy, smelly, smoky, and not that comfortable you'd be driven insane...but when it's a Land Rover it just takes you somewhere else entirely and provokes the biggest smiles :rolly:I was in a series 3 hardtop once...

Nice car but I do remember many times up on the grouse moors when RR's were bogged down in peat up to their windows but the LR's just drove on by...they were just too heavy for some off road situations...I've heard it said that the Hi-Lux's and Nissans are the same but I've no experience of them...

Yes there is indeed...I'm just trying to upload an old picture of the one I spent more of my childhood in than any other but can't seem to get it to work...it was a real beauty and a real workhorse...probably never had a day off in it's life!

I must admit most of my childhood was spent in series 2's and 3's...they were the workhorse of every other estate I knew of...wasn't 'til the early 90's that some started using Hi-Lux's...I do think the days of LR being this country's workhorse are over now...everyone seems to use Toyota's...

If you could 'magic' any Land Rover ever built, brand new from the production line today, what would it be, and why..? Personally I'd (being greedy) have a Series One, a classic Range Rover, and a Disco 300tdi...

My first Disco was a 3 door 200tdi... it was a really good LR...it was 9 years old when I got it but mechanically sound...did alot of off-road miles too in all weathers...worst thing to happen was slave cylinder packed in so had to drive 100 miles down A9 with no clutch...the interior was more...

I had the wheel off my D2 for a while and it started to grow on me...thought about removing the bracket but nowhere else to put wheel other than the boot...now sadly I'm having to try to get rid of the car!

a
