    Yes james, i want to keep everything as land rover intended. I can then use standard parts etc. The only issue being the mount on the chassis being in the 200tdi position. I am going to fabricate the engine mounts to suit. I dont want to cut the chassis mounts because its a galvanised chassis...

    If you zoom in you can see how far apart the mounts are between the 200tdi on the chassis and the v8 on the block. I put a measuringtape across and its 5”!

    Some progress, got the crossmember in and fitted the gearbox and also bolted up the mockup block ready to fabricate some engine mounts!

    Slowly, my garage is absolutely full at the moment. Everytime i want to work on the 90 i have to empty it. I’m planning on building an extension to the existing garage for more space. (Lucky that i’m in no rush to do it)

    Got my block yesterday. It weighs roughly 28kg as a bare block, for anyone who wants to know for future reference. (Say if you wanted to post it to get it top hat lined).
