What did you do with your Range Rover today

My 08 Vogue was on 320,000km when the engine died back in May.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That was for Flossie who was talking about running a hosepipe over the car or driving at 140 to test for leaks. The rain in Spain goes mainly down the drain.

    What L322 to avoid?

Having recently stripped down a 70-odd year old AEC bus engine that has never been rebuilt, I was amazed it still ran! The oily loi circulating was to the crankshaft. Rocker oilways blocked, tappet gear, oilways blocked, bit ends may have had a bit of oil, 3mm side play on valve stems...That...

    What L322 to avoid?

Does such a thing exist? Probably the most reliable car I've had in recent times was a Skoda Octavia diesel, with auto box, that was doing 65 mpg on 3 year lease when I was doing provate hire work. It never broke down in those 3 years, it went back at 130,000 miles.

    What L322 to avoid?

I bought one from new in 2002 for about £53k and that cost more in repairs than the purchase cost. My experience with Range Rovers has always been expensive. Thanks very much for the very helpful advice given your time and effort is much appreciated. I hope I can help others in need with my...

    What L322 to avoid?

We had another visit to the dealer in Essex, he says the car was taken in p/x from dealer stock. I gave it the best check I could, trying everything in sight, knobs, buttons, switches, up, down, hi ratio, lo ratio, it's even got a new tow ball and twin trailer sockets. Good Pirelli Grabber...

    What L322 to avoid?

I've decided to take a punt on the 60 reg 4.4TDV car from Essex. The last few MoTs have clocked up some sort of sticky gunge round the front o/s brake pipe and front tyre wear. But then records that supension bushes were replaced and probably replacement tyres fitted. First place to visit will...

You can get battery terminal spray from motor factors.

    Cracked Wheels

Odd size wheels have been reported to have an effect on ABS sensors as ABS thinks one wheel is turning at a different speed. I'd suggest change wheel, drive it home using care and caution. Don't get wheels welded, it's now an MoT failure so I've read. It shouldn't make a difference to the diffs...

    Hybrid battery failure

The bus company I used to work for had 4 battery cars for staff runabouts, Renault-something_tiny little cars, allegedly 5 seatser, impossible for 5 bus drivers to fit into... hey had a range of 60 miles and each clocked up over 160,000 miles when the company shut down. They fetched £1500 for...

Luckily(?) mine ar cracked at the front so still have good mobility at the moment. 4 days in hospital resting with morphine and paracetemol seems to be doing the trick.

P38A Service Brake right on the MOT limit...

That sort of percentage is what I would expect. On the old buses I work on 50% is a pass, on post-1968 buses they must have at least 30% on park brake. I don't know what the percentages are for cars, but you can download the Testers Manual online from the DVSA website. 7% imbalance is well...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I think this one knows I mean business because I have some good contacts in DVSA or whatever they're called this week. A refund will be cheaper for him rather than " a visit" from the local DVSA enforcement people about MoT test standards. Or Border Force if you know what I mean. :)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I've done nothing with my car so far this week. I went int the garden on Saturday to feed the wild birds, fell over and fractured 3 ribs. Been in hospital ever since! Phoned the dealer I got the car from, he said take it back and he will refund my money. Deep joy.
