    Moving up to a RR

Have a look here for a start. Gearboxes are the biggest thing to worry about, they seem to fail after about 70k miles :S

    OBD2 Scanner on P38 & L322

How old is the P38? Do the early ones talk to it at all? OBD started appearing as standard around 2000 didn't it?

    12v power to the glovebox

Sounds good, when you say slide the side panel back, is that toward the dash or away from it?

    12v power to the glovebox

Cubby box could be an option actually... Basically I want 12v power alongside an aux in input. I got a kit that replaces the CD changer input (mine is broken anyway) with an aux in which works really well in my quick testing. I guess I'd have to try and drop the aux in lead down behind and...

    12v power to the glovebox

I understand that one of the easiest ways to get a 12v switched feed in the cabin is from the cigarette socket. Is there a simple route to run a lead from here to the glovebox? I had a poke around behind the stereo as I need to run a cable from there to the glovebox too but couldn't fine an...

    Fixed my cruise control.

Diary of a first time Range Rover owner

Cruise Control I sorted out the cruise control today, took a look at the existing bits and took them off: As you can see, the old pipes are totally shot. 5 mins later it was all back together with new pipes: A quick test drive later and success, fully working cruise control...

Buying Nanocom before the Range Rover

See here for details of the car: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/showthread.php?t=221752 I got the Nanocom from another forum member for £250, although I need to get an extra code to work with the motronic V8. Still, £300 for a diesel & petrol one is a bargain compared to £400 for a new one that...

Buying Nanocom before the Range Rover

Oh cool, that's reassuring. Guess I won't be playing with it this weekend though. :(

Buying Nanocom before the Range Rover

I now have a Nanocom AND a Range Rover. I just tried to order an unlock code from BBS and the order went through without prompting for payment, is that normal? I've emailed them but don't expect a reply now until Monday. The site says they accept Visa & Mastercard but I'm guessing the Cyprus...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I couldn't do black! love the cream/wood combo too much. I guess I need to find a local place where I can see the colours in the flesh, trying to compare pics on my phone to the actual wheel didn't work too well! :)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did you use any leather dye? I'm trying to fine a good colour match to light stone to sort out my steering wheel. The one I got is way too light.

    DSE project information

:D Edit: Ok, why can't I do the big grin smiley? Something is changing the 'D' to a 'd' when I submit a post. Edit2: and now it works, making me look stupid. Anyway, :D at the straight molecules stuff :D

Really? Will that work for LPG too? What if I just put the magnets on the fuel tank? I could fit a really big one on there!!

Diary of a first time Range Rover owner

Think I might not bother fixing the CD changer and instead get one of these & one of these for a bluetooth audio solution. It'll be sweet to be able to just play music from my phone/tablet/whatever. Oh good call, I've not even been sure what to search for for this. The bolts I've put back...

Diary of a first time Range Rover owner

Another day, another discovery. My CD changer doesn't work. I assumed it was empty but no, there was stuff in there (5 new rock CD's for me!) but it doesn't play. The CD magazine seems to be the same as the one from a 3 series BMW, would a BMW CD Changer unit be a direct plug in replacement...
