what setting do you have the air direction on ? if its set to point at the windscreen, this will automatically bring the air conditioning on which... can cause the pulley to rub on the plastic shield in the wheel arch on the drivers side if the shield is misaligned good luck

experience would say different on the freelander td4, I could tell easily when it did and didn't have 2 stroke added, with it in, it was noticeably quieter, especially from cold. performance and fuel economy marginal / negligible, from when I tried it, I never filled up without doing it.
