Ive just had one done by a garage - cost £550 all in - I also have a brand new viscous diff, genuine item, not a rebuilt item ( I believe ashcrofts are rebuilds)...yours for £350...theyre 700 plus vat from landrover!

Surely there must be another way of replacing no.1 plug without removing the fuel pump - daftest thing I ever read (Mr Haynes et al !!).:mad:

I have a brand new ashcroft item - not even openend the box!!! Yours for 50 squid collect from wigan/burnley or post at cost. Easy DIY job to change it.

:mad: Just bought a second early freelander (dont ask!!) - ABS works perfect but no response from hill decent - no red light, no green light, no functionio ! Any known causes? I suspect sensors are al good as abs is ok ?

if you have it rebuilt...quick tip from my race engine building days...get the engine builder to 'O' ring the block - it will never blow again.

Just bought another freelander - vc is solid - dare I drive it for a while or is certain IRD failure iminent??
