    If the Nanocom cannot connect to multiple modules it's extraordinarily unlikely the multiple modules have gone bad. It's far more likely that socket &/or wiring that the Nanocom connects to have gone bad with corrosion.

    My 2001 V4.6L P38 runs happily on E85 (85% bioethanol) which now costs over €1 per litre here in France so has no problem with E10 (now around €1.85 per litre). E85 cost about 65c per litre before the Ukraine war.

    Actually the TfL website says that you need a letter OR a CoC. A letter from the vehicle manufacturer's homologation department stating the vehicle's Euro standard or a conformity certificate

    I think an annual test is a very good idea. I live in France & need a CT every two years so every other year I get an MOT done while I am in the UK. I think that it's worth the modest cost to have an independent eye run over the car particular underneath.

    Another nice touch with the CT is that if it fails on a défaillance critique you can’t drive after midnight the day of the CT of its défaillance majeure you are given a CT valid for two months & it's possible to have repeated two month CTs.

    Another reason that the Contrôle Technique (CT) is better than a UK MOT is that they are performed by independent CT centres not the garage servicing your car. They have no hidden agenda of finding faults that they can then charge to fix.
