have you checked fuel supply? filter? sedimentor clean? thats what i would check when called to a breakdown as had same on my 1995 300tdi , felt such a fool as only had it a week best thing was my mate from work that came out to rescue me lol ( was standing joke as didnt know where sedimenter was)

if you can get a replacement nut why not try spliting the nut? i always advise replace the nuts as they are ny loc and not very good to be reused , local car shop should have them in stock

Hi just a updat to post have now cured problem was one of the trunions on uj where it fits on to box bearing had broken up so only running on three of four legs , didnt see it it started to make noise thanks for all inputs darren

no its not speed related just at that rpm range and its a manual , have now started to pull out hair as have not managed to track down fault as yet :confused::confused::confused: all help welcome
