    Wiring Quiz 😂

Still working my way through the rats nest of wiring in the 90 200 TDI. I have various wires I need to identify (or rule out of caring about). I’ve sorted a bunch through elimination but have various things just not plugged into anything. I’ll post in separate replies to allow people to reply...

Bolt Part Number - Holds Gear Shifter

Thanks! I’ve got plenty of these in a tin so have sorted it. I changed up for a slick shift and adjusted the springs and it’s changing very nice. The throw on it was wide to say the least before.

    Indicator “Warning” Light Not Working

My Defender has LED indicators (and headlights) which were fitted before I owned it. The warning light doesn’t illuminate or flash when the indicators are on, regardless of whether the lights are on. I’ve changed the bulb in the warning light for one I know works and no change. Any advice on...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Haven’t “done” it yet as need to find a 21mm socket but somehow the arm on my wheel carrier has snapped.

    LT77 Gearbox Noise Cancelling

I’ve seen on a few videos there’s a piece of foam / sponge within the gear shift space, to reduce the noise. Can anyone tell me what this is called or link me to somewhere to buy?

Wipers not working, but washers are

No, I bought it with them switched out

Wipers not working, but washers are

I’m running LED headlights and sidelights. Wonder if this makes it redundant.

Wipers not working, but washers are

Found an indicator relay flopping around yes and that’s all working as required. What else will the relays be on the back of the fuse box if not the starter and indicators which I’ve already identified?

Wipers not working, but washers are

Should've also asked, do these just pull off the back of the fuse box plate or are they connected in some fancy way?

Wipers not working, but washers are

Purple ones on Picture 001A @Hicap phill ? With the rats nest, if I only care about the wiper motor and the horn, will either of them likely need grounding or routing into a fuse? It'd be great to get rid of the many redundant connections.

Wipers not working, but washers are

Anyone fancy a game of name that wire (or relay) 003 is some rats nest which is wired into both the wiper motor and horn 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wipers not working, but washers are

Found this screwed but not wired into the back of the fuse box 🤷🏻

Wipers not working, but washers are

I'm told it's either the radio, or the reverse light. We shall see.

Wipers not working, but washers are

Wiper update - took the connector off the motor. Got caught for time so put it back on. Now they’re working 😂 This thing baffles me sometimes.

Wipers not working, but washers are

    No idea (yet)

Wipers not working, but washers are

Any tips on how to identify what this additional fuse set is for? My assumption is “take one out and see what stops working” 😂 Are there usual things people would wire into them?
