Clearly not enough holes to let the water out!

I had the same problem and spent a few quid trying to sort it. In the end a bought a central locking kit off ebay £23.99 delivered and I installed the complete kit in June 2011, and it still works perfect!

Mine passed after I welded up a small hole in the rear!

Thanks for thoughts, but in the end the sender unit turned up so welded the floor in on the top edge with seam sealer on the whole bottom lip, I can grind off the welds If I need to remove the floor at a later date! All back fitted up and sound for the mot in a weeks time! Here's hoping!

I didn't think the middle section of the boot floor was structural, as the brace beams are welded on the sides forming the strength across? Could be wrong, but I would have thought if it was bolted it would still be strong structurally.

Just a thought as I have been held up replacing my boot floor, has anybody considered or done a hinged boot floor so that it could be lifted for easier access? as Im waiting for a new tank sender unit I cant weld the centre in at the moment so was considering hinging it, welding on some location...

The araldite is a structural adhesive, so as long as you clean the surfaces and make sure there abraded you should have no problem with bonding. As would the sikaflex sealer that I would say you get a lot more and will work out cheaper!

Ouch! I think you should have picked on a smaller bush, it might have cleaned the side off for you!:D

They were made to measure MR Wiltshireman, I gave they bloke my sizes that I wanted and he kindly obliged! I know you do a lot of offroading, and probably would want them slightly more proud, but they are well made and bloody heavy, good enough for my needs!

Just thought I would show me new rock sliders I put on today, bought them from guy on ebay directly, very well made and made to measure, all for £169 inc delivery! The guy trades under snaponspanner, and I would highly recommend him to all. There bloody excellent!!:D

Apparently it must of happened when they took them off! Must have used a fork lift!
