    Newbie.....very very new to driving

Well done on passing the test. Now the hard part - owning and driving the landie 😁

I need your help, Freelander 1 not starting. Immobilizer?

This sounds like either the starter motor or battery has an issue. Have you tested the battery? Does it have plenty of power?

    P38A Prices are up!

I had a dig-about last week and found one scathing review of a car that had been sold but was not what it was claimed to be. However, I only found the one, and it was from several years ago.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Fuel issue

… and use a genuine ‘Cooper’ filter 😉

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Fuel issue

You’d probably need more fuel than 10l to rule the transfer pump in/out, they have large tanks, and you would need to fill it over ‘the hump’. I would first change the fuel filter and prime using the correct method… see @Arctic2 write-up and pics below. Then go from there. The crank sensor is...

    Well spotted!

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

Centre bearings are available for the F2 online - but I’m guessing it’s not an easy job. If that mount is indeed fubar, then I think it’s easier just to fit a new prop. It’ll all be the same age, so preventative maintenance at least.

    FL2 versus BMW X5?

    No

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

I know - I did one on mine. I thought it would be the same for the F2, but an afternoon of research suggests not 🙄

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

It certainly looks like it’s a new prop job… I’m just hoping that’s the issue, and not something else!

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

No idea - not looked further yet

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

So, although I said I was leaving it, curiosity and a spare hour today beat me - had a nosey under the car at potential sources of the clunk noise and wobble (may be the same issue or different ones). Front roll bar bushes seem tight - no movement with a lever on the bar. Then looked around...

I would just like to say

I recently removed a lot of grass near my driveway and laid some nice gravel down. That was after digging a lot of it out and laying some type 1 or something similar, as a base. Anyway, the compactor I hired for the weekend was a lot heavier than that, it took two of us to lift it in and out the...

    Freelander 1 Knocking??

The sounds can appear to be from somewhere when in fact they are not - so I’d look further than front o/s. Check the rear diff mounts.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

Think there is something else to it. Can hear a faint ‘clonk’ at low speed on bumps.

We’ll welcome you in the Freelander section. Nice looking 2

Freelander 2 (LR2) Front suspension clunk and judder (SOLVED)

Update I switched the n/s driveshaft out for another new one. Bad news is it wasn’t that causing the ‘wobble’. Good news is I now have a spare front n/s driveshaft I guess 🙄 I then switched the new n/s strut (complete) out for the old one (which was ok, but changed as a pair). The ‘wobble’ is...
