So a dodgy connection to the temp sensor would have no effect on performance? I wonder why they bother fitting one then. :rolleyes: Just because the search facility doesn't have an exact answer to your issue doesn't mean you can't search for each of the common faults and try to narrow it down...

Do the strip down work yourself, get hold of repair panels such as: https://froggatts.co.uk/parts-category/land-rover-discovery-2-parts/ prepare the welding areas and tack/rivet the panels in place THEN speak to a welder :)

Thanks guys. I have wiring for the pedal box and the fluid pressure switch but nothing that looks like it was ever connected to the servo switch. I guess that is something I can look at once the other 185 wee tasks are taken care of. Still no supply to the pedal box tho. :)

Always wanted a shot in one of those....but reckon the actual job must be mind-blowingly dull! :(

Gone are the days when there only were about 6 sizes of belt and patrols carried enough to fix a couple of dozen cars a week. With every model of every car now having a bespoke belt they will only arrange for the vehicle to be taken to a garage. Even then it will often be the next day before...

Preparation is everything o_O

All this just coz some wee scrote stole from the Collection Plate. o_O
